Exciting events in Liverpool this May for students
There’s lots of exciting events happening in Liverpool this summer, and May is the month when it all begins. Although you might be stuck indoors, revising and finishing off your final assignments, a day or evening away from your studies shouldn’t do you much harm… Follow our guide to find some of the best places to head this month in Liverpool.
Sound City has kicked off this afternoon, and this years line up promises not to disappoint. With 360 acts over 25 venues, you’ll be spoilt for choice when deciding where to head first. Tickets are still available so to get yours at their kiosk on Slater Street.
The literary festival, ‘In other words’ also has a range of great events on offer within venues across the city. There’s famous author readings and themed nights that promise to make this a literary festival like no other.
Another bonus that May presents is the two bank holiday Mondays! Mr Scruff is kicking the weekend off in style at The Shipping Forecast on Friday, followed by Chibuku in the East Village Arts club on Saturday night.
Circus is continuing the bank holiday festivities in the East Village Arts club on Sunday, whilst mumu is hosting their 4pm till 4am party on Greenland Street.
