Prospects Look Good for Liverpool Students
According to The Liverpool Echo last week, post-graduate employment in the North West is on the rise! This is great news for all Liverpool’s current students, and helps to paint a slightly brighter picture in the midst of a fairly bleak economic time. Figures recently collected from Liverpool University, John Moores, Edge Hill and Chester University, showed a rise since the previous year in the number of students moving into either employment or further education after graduation. This goes hand in hand with a reduction in the number of new graduates signing onto the dole, which is a good sign for the economy as a whole.
It is hoped that improving partnerships between businesses and Universities will help to increase the availability of quality work experience placements and opportunities for students, in turn preparing and opening doors for them once they graduate. Fingers crossed that lady luck will shine on our new graduates in Liverpool this month, and lead them in the direction of employment and shining careers.
