November guide for Students in Liverpool
November is proving to be a busy month here in Liverpool! With christmas preparations beginning to gather pace and with Bonfire night still left to enjoy, it might be a struggle to concentrate on the last few months of term.
The highly anticipated Mobo awards will descend on the Echo arena this Saturday and if you hurry, you may be able to secure some of the last remaining tickets. If you’d prefer to get a free glimpse of some of the urban musical talent on offer, it might be worth braving the cold to catch any celebs stopping for photographs whilst making their all important entrances.
This Bonfire night, head down to Sefton Park for their free and highly anticipated fireworks display which will kick off at 7:30 pm. Ideally situated around the corner from a lot of our student accommodation on Smithdown Road, the rapidly plummeting temperatures will be easier to bear with just a two minute walk to endure in order to enjoy the display. Failing that, Lark Lane has more than enough pubs and bars to warm you up after all the excitement has ended.
If you needed yet another distraction from your studies, Liverpool One’s Ice Festival will be the perfect place to head after a long day in the library. From this Wednesday 7th, you will be able to enjoy a pop up ice bar, ice rink, and an ice slide (which sounds like the most fun, ever) and it is sure to at least start getting you into the festive spirit.
