Halloween Ideas for Liverpool Students
With Halloween fast approaching, Liverpool has a wealth of haunting and imaginative events on offer for you. Spooky goings on will be kicking off this weekend and carrying on right through to the 31st, next Wednesday, so you’ll be spoilt for choice on where to show off your unearthly costume to full effect.
Head down to the Baltic triangle on Saturday night for Camp and Furnace’s Halloween special, ‘Vamp and Furnace’. Offering cult film screenings and a theatre of the macabre in collaboration with Shiverpool and Santa Chupito’s, there’ll be something suited for everyone on the night. Sefton Park’s yearly lantern carnival is always worth heading down for on Sunday evening and at a stones throw from some of our student accommodation, it will soothe your hangover as well as keeping the Halloween momentum alive.
Student favourites The Masque and The Krazyhouse are both offering Halloween specials this weekend, with a very reasonably priced Waxxx special Haunted House event on the 31st set in a huge warehouse. Prefer your All Hallow’s Eve a little more subdued but equally terrifying? Head to Fact for discounted student tickets and a series of themed films including Frankenweenie 3d, The Shining and Pyscho, which are sure to leave you suitably spooked.
If you’re new to the city this year or just scraping the barrel for costume ideas, Liverpool fancy dress institutions Smiffy’s on Bold Street and Lili Bizarre on Hardman Street are sure to inspire the suffocated ghoul inside you, with Scarewood proving the ideal interactive opportunity to show them off (if you don’t know what that is, then click the link… if you dare!)
