Free Events in Liverpool This Summer
The sun is shining and we’re starting to get excited for the summer months ahead. Luckily, Liverpool has got our schedule planned already, with a mixture of sporting events, live music, food and something a little bit spectacular in the form of giant puppets! The celebrations have kicked off this week with the beginning of Sound City and with some tickets still available, you know where to head this bank holiday weekend.
1st – 3rd May – Sound City
16th May – Light Night; for one night only, Liverpool comes to life after hours.
25th May – Rock n Roll marathon; if you’re a keen runner, this is one event you won’t want to miss.
13th- 15th June – Music on the Waterfront; free music down on the Pier Head.
21st- 22nd June – Africa Oye; Always a firm favourite in the city, expect great live music and delicious food.
11th – 19th July – Brazilica; Bringing carnival fun to the streets of Liverpool.
5th July – 26th October – Biennial; well worth checking out over the late summer months.
23rd- 27th July – Little Girl Giant; The UK’s biggest tribute to WW1 will see The Little Girl Giant and her family descend on the city once again.
2nd August – Liverpool Pride; Celebrations will be spanning across Dale street and the waterfront.
15th August – Liverpool International Music Festival; A huge success last year, with the line up for 2014 promising to be even better.
22nd August – Creamfields; This event isn’t free unfortunately, but a fantastic Liverpool festival none the less.
19th September – Food and Drink festival; Sefton Park becomes full of one of the cities best restaurants and bars.
