Football Mad Liverpool Students

Football is an obsession for many Liverpudlians, and the same can be said for many of the city’s students. When moving to a new city, football fans will be keen to find their nearest bar for coverage of the beautiful game. So as ever, Rooms4u is here to offer you a helping hand.

If your student accommodation is city centre based, then you have a good range of options on your doorstep. Down in the town centre Fleet Street is a good place to start, with Baa Bar, The Walkabout or Lloyds Bar. If you’re looking for somewhere nearer the Georgian quarter then there is also a Baa Bar up on Myrtle Street, as well as The Hope and Anchor on Maryland Street just behind Hardman Street.

If you’re living in accommodation in the Smithdown Road area, then two favourites with students are the Brookhouse and the Willowbank pubs. Finally, if you are based in the Sefton Park area, give The Albert pub, or Aki’s Wine Bar on Lark Lane a try.

This coming sunday Liverpool host Manchester United at Anfield, so what better time to get down to your local and check out their big screen!
